This variety is done right with a fruit forward nose of tropical fruit, golden apple, pear and yellow peach with floral hints. A nice balance of ripe juicy fruit on the palate combined with clean lemony acidity.
The Chase Wines 2017 Gewürztraminer $19

Howling Bluff Estate Winery 2012 Summa Quies Sin Cera $25
A blend of Merlot, Malbec and Petit Verdot serves up black cherry, cassis, plum, dark chocolate, pepper, toasted nuts and some earthy notes. A bit of age means it is ready to drink now. Excellent value in a rich, full-bodied red.
Indigenous World Winery 2016 Ehrenfelser $18

Lang Vineyards 2016 Marechal Foch $22

This delightful Pinot Gris has aromas of lemon meringue, pear and honeydew melon. On the palate it is creamy with flavours of kiwi, pear, gala apple, pineapple and a hint of almonds.
Mission Hill Family Estate 2017 Five Vineyards Rosé $16
Superb value for a delicate and dry rosé of this calibre. Pretty pale pink hue and aromas and flavours of wild strawberries, bing cherries, blood orange, crisp apple and white flowers. Delicate palate makes this a terrific patio wine.
Moon Curser Vineyards 2016 Dolcetto $25
For those looking for a lighter, fresher red, this unoaked version is a rare treat. No barrel treatment means the red fruit can shine and the result is wine with red cherry, raspberry, dried herb and menthol character that is very approachable.
Nighthawk Vineyards 2015 Gewürztraminer $20
This winery’s high-altitude vineyard is ideal for these grapes and the result is a fruit forward wine full of grapefruit, pineapple, lychee nut, golden apple, lemon and a hint of mineral.
Poplar Grove Winery 2016 Blanc de Noirs $22
Described as rose quartz in colour, this wine delivers wild strawberry, rhubarb, rose petal aromas and ripe, bright red fruit with a touch of cream flavours.

Tinhorn Creek Vineyards 2016 Oldfield Reserve 2Bench White $22
An unusual blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Viognier, Chardonnay and Muscat but it more than works. It is fresh and lively but juicy and elegant featuring tropical fruit, peach, citrus and some herbaceous and spicy notes.
Upper Bench Winery and Creamery 2015 Cabernet Merlot $23
An approachable blend that is well-balanced and delivers big on flavour with blackberry, raspberry, chocolate, spice and some herbal notes. Supple palate and easy drinking.
